[ Overview ]
Txplore is a mobile concept created for the Texas Historical Commission that reimagines how people discover the stories behind Texas historical markers. The app transforms static markers into interactive experiences—using maps, storytelling, and digital collectibles to encourage exploration across the state. By blending technology with heritage, Txplore turns local history into a more engaging journey and demonstrates how thoughtful design can bring the past to life for modern audiences.
[ My ROLE ]
I led the end-to-end design of Txplore, from concept through experience design, focusing on how emerging technology could make historical content more engaging and accessible. I defined the product vision, designed key user flows, and created an interactive, map-based experience that blends storytelling, exploration, and digital interaction.
[ OUTCOME ]
Txplore transforms static historical markers into a more immersive and engaging experience, making it easier for people to discover, understand, and connect with Texas history. By combining location-based interaction with narrative-driven design, it introduces a more modern, accessible approach to cultural exploration and creates a foundation for future expansion through emerging technologies.
