[ Overview ]
The Chicago Board Options Exchange undertook a major redesign of its website to modernize how investors, traders, and the public access complex financial information. The project introduced a scalable design system and a cleaner information architecture that made market data, insights, and tools easier to navigate and understand. By aligning brand, usability, and performance, the redesign transformed a dense financial platform into a more intuitive digital experience, demonstrating how thoughtful design can bring clarity to even the most complex industries.
[ My ROLE ]
I led UX and visual design for the redesign of Cboe’s website, focusing on turning complex financial data into a clearer, more intuitive experience. I worked closely with cross-functional teams to align on business goals, user needs, and technical constraints, and designed scalable components that support evolution.
[ OUTCOME ]
The redesign brought clarity, consistency, and visual order to a complex financial ecosystem, making data easier to understand and navigate. A stronger, more cohesive brand system helped unify the experience, while a scalable design foundation enabled faster iteration, supported new features, and better served a global audience.
